Debtors, Debtors--Everywhere!

You people do realize that the first couple of boat loads of settlers in America were the dregs of the English prison system, right? Most were debtors--those that could not pay their and their families debts and were imprisoned.

I bet you are wondering why I am bringing this up. Why, oh why, Professor? Just to bring to light that the US went from a nation of debtors to a nation in debt. All the "good" indicators of the economy, like consumer confidence is based on credit. People are spending credit not money. It has been said that 6 out of 10 people in the US are in debt. The problem is it WILL NOT get better.

Housing sucks--a debt problem. This will not be fully known until probably '09. Plus a lot of the institution that are buying the US debt are from foreign shores. Meaning we are and will be in debt to other countries.

It will never happen, but I would like to see the debt called in. It would make the Great Depression look like a hiccup.

The Kurds are becoming a liability to the US. Turkey wants them dead, Iran is not too thrilled with their existence. And the US is caught between Iraq and a hard place.

Bhutto's Death Was State Terrorism

So says Sharif, the new opposition leader.

It’s state terrorism, says Nawaz RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday that the tragic death of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairwoman Benazir Bhutto was a result of state terrorism, according to Daily Times staff reporter Aamir Yasin. Addressing PPP workers at Rawalpindi General Hospital (RGH), where Bhutto succumbed to hre injuries, Nawaz said Benazir’s death would be avenged not only by the PPP workers but also by the nation. “The nation will take revenge of Benazir’s killing,” he said. “Musharraf government is incapable of controlling the situation and people are facing the result of his policies,” NNI quoted Nawaz as saying.

No Divorce

I read this recently while checking out articles during my Xmas lull. It seems that the Supreme Court Of Rhode Island has said that gay couples may not divorce. You may be thinking ...WTF?...well gay cannot marry in Rhode Island..if that is the case then why would you need to state that they could not divorce either? If they are not legally married...there can be no divorce...that pretty simple...but as usual they must make this seem more than it is.

Do you care? If you do then may I suggest you mind your own f*cking business...it does not concern you.

When Morons Are Attacked

Recently 3 female friends are out jogging with their dogs. Oh yeah , this is in Alaska. Well about a mile into their jog they are confronted by 7 wolves and the women panic and eventually get out of the situation with only one dog hurt.

Now the rest of the story--these morons are jogging in sub zero weather, in an area that is posted about the dangers of a possible wolf attack. There is massive snow on the ground wolves are finding food scarce and these idiots show up with dogs.

Okay, and now it is the wolf's fault that these in-bred morons are out jogging in an area clearly marked--what part of this makes it the wolf's fault? This is a typical stupid response by sanctimonious humans--they enter into a wild animals home and when they are attacked they just cannot understand why.

If you really want to avoid this type of confrontation--STAY OUT OF THE WOLF'S HOME!

It is that simple--pull your head out of your ass and use the head for something other than a hat rack.

STUPID IS LETHAL!

Xmas Letters For The Troops

I know all have seen this program, where school kids are asked to write letters to the troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. it is used as a moral booster. But last over 400,000 of these letters were destroyed by the military, because of a security risk. The military said that they may have anti-war words or anthrax contained within the letters. WTF? you mean men and women that are adults could not handle some anti-war rhetoric? Please! And what is up with the anthrax thing? Children are doing their own bio-weapons research......what bullshit!

Now by the way, the kids have been asked to do it again this year and the letters will be destroyed. Why? Make the people think that they are helping the troops; it keeps the people thinking that they are making a difference.

This is a sad, sad turn and needs to be addressed by the military. Why they are deceiving these children who are only trying to do their part to help the moral of the US troops overseas? Will it be an issue, no it will not. WHY?

What Party To Support?

If you see the 2 party system as a lump of crap, then this is an interesting question. Where do you put your support in the upcoming elections? That is a question that you must answer for yourself. Me? I am looking at the Green Party. Why? Their statement of principles is closer to my own beliefs than any other party. There is also SPUSA, but they are just looking for attention that they will never receive.

For me, it appears that the winner and the nominee of the Dem party will be someone I cannot support. Why? The two leaders, as of now, are just business as usual. They want to reform Nafta, Health care, yada, yada. I have a prob with reform. Why? It is a temporary fix, easily changed, and will not be any help. Reforms are about as worthless as the lip service it receives from the candidates. If there is not change, then NOTHING will change.

Okay, how about the GOP candidates? (the sound of gut wrenching laughter can be heard in the background).

As Axl Rose sang in patience, "where do we go, where do we go from here?" It is a scary prospect--the choices that the voters are given, that is.

Iraq Is Looking UP

Only if you are a mindless drone and accept the crap they want you to hear. OK, a new poll says that Americans think that the US is making progress in Iraq, by 54%. Good right? well. what about the Iraqis, after all that is what we were told was one of the reasons for the invasion?

The Iraqis DO NOT want us there. The Iraqis DO NOT want permenant bases in their country. They want our troops to do their work for them and restore security so the politicians can continue their hold on power.

How about a unified Iraq? This, my friends is the biggest pipedream. That is what the US wants, not necessarily what the Iraqis want. The only unifying thing in Iraq is the hatred of the US, not necessarily the troops, but the governmental bullsh*t coming from Washington. So if you are looking for unity in Iraq--look to the hatred held by Iraqis--that is about the only unifying concept at this point in their history.

Primaries And Electoral politics

I have been watching so much on the primaries and the approaching elections and I have reinforced my belief that the process needs a major overhaul.

For instance, the campaigns in the primaries should be 90 days. They should be publicly funded and winner takes the state. Then once a candidate is picked from each party, then the election process should be 6 weeks long and publicly funded. Issues only! No dragging family into it.

This would help give the campaigns and the elections more significance. And stop the brain drain on the population.

Obama Plays The Oprah Card

It is 3 weeks from the caucus in Iowa--time to play a trump card. for Obama that is his benefactor, Oprah. She will join the stump in Iowa, SC and NH. Will she help? That is thye $64 question. In the recent past, not too much difference has been made by the use of celebs. But Oprah is Oprah and about a ga-zillion women listen to what she says.

IMO, she will not do much to gain the young voters, more likely she will help convince the older women, say 35-60 group. If that occurs, she will be pulling from some of Clinton's audience.

It will be interesting to see after her stump with Obama and the next polls, to see if she will make a difference. I think she will not make that much of a difference.

Major News Stories

I am a bit pissed at the so-called "news" media. Why? I watch national news, but yet I keep getting these local stories for days on end.

I do not care about a car chase
I do not care about a missing wife
I do not care about a shooting--other than an initial report
I do not care about slutty starlets
I do not care about a plane crash--other than the initial report
I do not care about a bank robber
I do not care about a missing hiker
I do not care about.......pick some fluff piece and you will know.

Will someone please tell me if there is an outlet that actually reports the news?

Let The Attacks Begin

Do you remember Willie Horton? Probably not! well he was a prisoner than Dukakis let out of prison and he committed more crimes--it was the campaign hot topic--it was a big influence in the Dukakis loss.

Someone in the Repub camps sat on a story about a rapist in Arkansas that was released by Huckabee and he committed more stuff. Now that Huck has jumped ahead of Romney--the story comes out. Will it be successful? Most likely.

Dems are also jumping on the trash chucking tactic. Clinton camp has issued a piece about Obama when he was in Kindergarten saying that he wanted to be Pres. this somehow makes him look too ambitious.

IMO, anyone that is running for Pres is ambitious, to include Hil.

oh yeah, I need to address religion. Why? Don't ask! But Huck's popularity seems to be his religious background, sooooooooo--Mitt will go on TV and explain Mormonism. He thinks this will help him as it did with JFK when he addressed his catholism.

Will this work? I question its timing. To me he is looking a bit desperate. The whole religion thing will most likely be vague at best.

A Teddy Bear Named Muhammed

hopefully you people know all about the situation that was playing out in Sudan, over the English school teacher who crapped in her chili over the name of a teddy bear. Well at first she was sentenced to 40 lashes and 15 days in jail. Then it was 15 days in jail and deportation. Then it was time served and she is home.

OK this played out on the news and brought the "fanatics" to the screen. They kept pushing the fact that it was prinary kids she was dealing with and the population went berserk. It was used to reinforce the ias on the media against Muslims. Yes, they over-reacted on this and looked rather foolish in doing so. But that was the spin they wanted to portray.

my question is, she was sent to a country to teach and she had NO knowledge of the customs, religion or culture? The company that sent her did not go into specifics on the do's and don'ts of a foreign country?

I say that the people involved were f*cking stupid! The school had been there since 1902 and no one knows the culture of thye country. Please! If you are gonna be STUPID, you have got to be strong. STUPID can be fatal!

Media And Its Reps

Is it just me or is the major news outlets giving us a distorted view of ourselves? I mean look at EVERY network and their on camera anchors. They are handsome, cute, sexy, thin, yada yada.

The ones that get the most air time are those that are "perfect". No? Name one that is not. The minute reports are those that may be a bit less than "perfect". This all just reinforces my belief that the media, as it is today, is about ratings and not the news of the day. This is what er get when the news is controlled by the Entertainment Division of a corporation.

Yes, there are a few that do not fit into this outline, but they are few and far between.

A Road to Peace

Bush and his minions put together a last ditch effort to achieve some sort of a success somewhere in the world. They were trying desperately to find something that would improve his non-existent legacy as president of the US.

My first thought was that this was an attempt to blow smoke up the world's ass, but after only a very short time there was a break though and Palestine and israel have agreed on the basics of the negotiations. Now I think that there was already a decision before they came to Maryland and they waited to announce it to give Bush a boost on the international stage.

It is good news, but it will come to no fruition because eventually, all concerned players will have to engage Hamas and that is a no-no. Hamas needs to pull their heads out of their butts and realize that they were elected to represent the Palestinian people, not to fire lame ass rockets.

Only once ALL sides come to the table and deal with each other with hinesty and respect there will be NO peace, regardless of what Bush wants. His legacy will suck now and the day he leaves office. Sorry dude! Truth is hard!

We Are Owned!

In the 80's Japan began buying up the US and everyone was worried. they got into a prob and sold it back. IMO, that was not a big deal. They were buying up properties and opening factories and such. It all worked out for the better, well at least that is what they have lead us to believe.

And then China came a calling! But instead of buying up properties they bought up debt. They invested heavily in the sub-prime market. They own about $1.5 trillion of American debt. Will they ever call in the debt? That isfor conspiracy theorists.

This week UAE, bought into CitiGroup to the tune of Billions! Are they trying to help the sagging dollar? Are they trying to help avert a recession in the Us and possibly the world? Your guess is as good as anyone's.

But they own Americans! They are the owners of our future. What it, the whole world goes to sh*t? will they ever call in the debt? Only God or Allah or whatever name you assign to the maker, knows. This would make for an excellent novel! Just thinking out loud!

A Dream Ticket?

For months now I have seen several articles in discussion forums and blogs and papers about the dream presidential team.

I have seen Clinton/Obama, Rudy/Huckabee, Richardson/Dodd, Mitt/Howdy Dowdy, just about every combination imaginable. But yesterday I heard one that I had not seen nor considered. A news report said that Dennis Kucinich if he were the nominee would ask Ron Paul to be his running mate.

That would be an interesting combination, a semi-socialist and a libertarian. I gave it a lot of thought and I would probably vote for this combination. Both Kucinich and Paul have foreign policy issues I like, Kucinich has social policies I like and Paul has some intersting economic policies.

IMO, they would make a good team and woulkd be good for the USA. Something to think about.

Another Missing Wife

Yet another missing wife story, but is it a national story? No it is not! At best it should be a local story covered by a local station. The same with fires, car chases, escaped prisoners and so on. These become national issues because the corporate media uses this to keep from reporting real national issues and international stories. This types of fluff are for the mentality of the American people, who have made reality TV a hit.

These types of stories along with the starlets meltdown are for entertainment value, not to inform. I now question my thinking that ALL citizens should be allowed to vote. If this is what they want from the media then maybe they do not deserve the right to vote.

Is it not about time to start enforcing some rules here? This is becoming a prob, but no one wants to acknowledge it. This thing is becoming the weapon of choice for cops; they seem to be getting into more trouble when they use a gun, so they have moved on to the next MACHO".

Take a good look at the cop in the vid and then look at some of the others; they all have that same moronic haircut. Almost looks like something the German stormtroopers would have had.

All these attacks are bullsh*t! People die and few seem to be held responsible. Why? just another piece of sh*t the American people allow to continue.

A Government That Works?

Lou Dobbs of CNN fame, has a TV promo for his show where he asks, "does not the people deserve a government that works"? I found it amusing. My answer is NO! They do not! Why? Because the American people are too lazy to actually give a sh*t!

They are too uninformed and will not take the time to actually educate themselves on any given issue, with the exception of emotional bullsh*t like abortion, religion, immigration, gays--come on--none of this is a necessary dialog. WAKE UP! Americans are dying and being maimed while you worry about who is having sex with who. That is NONE of your business, to begin with and is just a silly, silly way to approach government.

Education sucks, health care sucks, families that they all say they care about, are in deep sh*t thanks to business practices and rosy forecasts. I suggest you go out and talk to real people; tell the lobbyists to shut the f*ck up and get real opinions.

The government is not working, unless you are in the top 5%. The American people are just too damn lazy and ignorant to go out and demand that these paid servants actually do their jobs and represent the real America, not the high flying capitalist assclowns. Islamofascism

Now here is a term that I would love to see all the definitions for. I would bet that there is as many definitions as there are hairs on my butt. To me it is just a way to spread the irrational fear of Islam. They, meaning conservatives, use this form of explanation to try and equate the expansion of Islam to that of the Nazis. I can see hoe they can equate it, for it has some of the characteristics of Fascism; cult based on murderous violence, exalts death and destruction and is intolerant of opposition. They also have this distorted view of history, where that must avenge some past digression at the hands of inferior outsiders. All this sound familiar?

But reality has to sink in eventually. Islamists have no chance of world domination, no matter what tactics they employ, their chances are zero, let me say that again, THEIR CHANCES ARE ZERO!

The use of the word "Islamofascist" is just away to try and equate it with the irrational fear that was felt after 9/11. Just another use of the now famous "fear card".

The Approaching Storm

The primaries are but a few weeks away and after that we will have to decide which nominee is the best for the country. Whether to vote Dem or Repub--it really does not matter because whichever you choose will be just a continuation of the present.

As I see it, one more administration like the last several and a real political revolution will become inevitable, but it will become possible and most necessary. The middle class is taking it in the ass daily, the wealthy are given every advantage. But the larger question is, when will the American people decide enough is enough?

We have an opportunity to make a true difference for all Americans, but sadly, it will be missed! That is right, I have NO faith in the American voter. They stupid and lazy! With their choices made they have higher prices for essentials and a continuation of bullshit. I suggest that you keep ignoring the 800 lb gorilla in the room and you will make revolution inevitable.

Do you recall last Spring when Imus made his famous statement about the players of Rutgers Women basketball players? well he is making a comeback, is this good? well it has been said that Americans are always glad to give someone a second chance. Is that really true?

Well yes, but only for those with the money to buy their way back into the good graces of the public. So yes, Imus will make a comeback and all will be forgiven. How f*cking lovely. But why then do we hold transgressions by average people against them?

Take a guy who had one cross into illegality and then he wants to run for office, will it come back to bite him in the butt? Of course, it will. Why cannot the public forgive him for his transgression? For one he is not famous and that is it. Somehow in the merger little of the minds of the public Imus is truly sorry for what he said.

This is just sad!

Trust Musharraf

I hope all are aware of the situation unfolding in Pakistan. If not nthen move on for this post will not mean much to you.

Bush said Saturday for his ranch in Crawford, that he trusted Musharraf to hold elections and take of the military uniform. And that he was sure he would keep Pakistan on the democratic road. Then later Musharraf said that elections would go on in January. Good news, right?

Will it be as free as last election when Musharraf got 98% of the vote. Not because he is so popular, but rather he has arrested all his opposition and put them in prison. He is still arresting opposition supporters. How democratic will the election be if all that disagree with him are in prison? Of course, he has said he would step down as general of the army, only to ignore the promise later.

The president is putting all his apples in one basket. Sound familiar? A president put all the apples in one basket in Iran and how did that turn out? This is a situation that needs to be approached with a firm hand and a firm stance.

A Green Week

For the last week, NBC and its affiliates have been doing green programing. They have been putting on programs about the environment, carbon footprinting, etc, etc. IMO, this is a good thing but unfortunately it is not enough. After the week has past, the people will go back to being the carbon hogs they have always been. All the useful info will be forgotten, ignored or whatever they do. A week is not enough to change people's attitudes.

If these people really wanted to help make a difference they would run these types on snig-lets year round. If the education of the people into a better way to approach the environment, a week's worth of info, is not the way. It is a way for the corporations that now own the media to appear to really give a sh*t about the environment.

This is just the typical approach of corporations--appear to care while doing nothing.

08 November 2007

Green--Schmeen!

Ok NBC has a whole week of environmental program planned. Green is Universal--catchy title huh? They give the people all kinds to tips on how to lessen their carbon footprint. from the T/stat setting, to recycling to yada, yada. It is all about what you can do to help the planet. But I have not heard that small more fuel efficient cars should be the order of the day. And I have not heard what companies need to do.

The corporations? yeah, all have a massive green campaign going on. But in reality all they are doing is telling what they may do or to change the slogan or to add green and yellow into their logo. That oughta go a long way it solving the problems.

My point is, the people are the ones that are having to make some small sacrifice, while the companies talk about and continue their profit taking. People should do their part to clean up thye planet, but why does business get a free ride. It is their marketing and their manufacturing that has cause most of the probs. so why are they off the hook?

Just wondering!

All Is Well In The World

A new poll shows that 42% of the American public think all is well in the world. Thinking....thinking.....Now either the public is really naive or they are dumb as a box of rocks! Why?

OK let us begin--Turkey is poised on Iraq Northern border to strike, Pakistan is in turmoil and they have nukes, Iran and US are facing off, Afghanistan is being lost slowly but slowly, AQ is expanded into North Africa, Burma is in chaos, Belgium is being torn apart, Balkans are really close to ignition, and the beat goes on.

Now what part of this is going well? 42% of the American people are IDIOTS! May I suggest that you stop watching "dancing with the stars" and pick up a newspaper, you morons.

I am embarrassed that I am in the same country as this pack of lazy ass wads. Being asleep at the wheel is an American trait. It is frustrating to acknowledge that the people are so damn uninformed, that it is almost comical if it were not so damn sad!

So You Want Change?

Do you really think that you can change the direction of this country? You think that your vote will give you that new direction?

HA! HA! HA! Not a f*cking chance!

Whichever party you chose to vote for is a vote for the continuation of the scary road that the US is traveling. Nothing said or done by either party is gonna make a new difference in this country. Special interests rule the political process. The only way to break this strangle hold on the politics of this country, is to break the process. This cannot be done from the ballot box, for that is just a tool to justify the existence of the process. This is not a democratic process. If it were there would be more choices than 2. Actually it is a single choice with a different name. For both parties are different sides of the same coin.

Change can happen but it will require the voter to get off their collective asses and demand and make the change happen. But, because it will take action, the status quo will remain, few are willing to get involve or to assist in change. Sad, that a country that is so proud of its democratic past, has little chance of a democratic future.

About 12,000 members of the Writers Guild of America are being asked to cease work and set up picket lines from 0001 local time (0701 GMT).

The UAW has given its members a good f*cking, will the Writers Guild do the same? It is all about the survival of the union, not about what is best for the membership. The US labor movement is dying and the leadership is partially responsible.

And he is rewarded with a huge separation package? Am I the only one that sees a problem there?

Let us look at it this way--say I was a foreman on an assembly line and my decision cost the company $1 million--I would be fired and loss of benefits. Where is equality in that? The worker is screwed for a mistake and a CEO is rewarded. Sorry, that is unacceptable and the sooner the worker realize just how bad he is screwed the sooner he will find a new way.

NUKES--The Clean Energy

STOP IT! There is nothing about nuke energy that is clean. While some minor case can be made about the emissions thing, but what about the by-product? What is to be done with all the plutonium by-product?

The nuke thing is being pushed by the same people that are bringing you global warming. They are not concerned with the world around them, just the continuation of their profits. For you see wind and solar power cannot bring them the obscene profits they could make on nukes. So, they will sell the ignorant public on the need for nukes as a way of controlling emission and thusly help eliminate the global warming thing.

It was a lie in the past. It is a lie now! Educate yourself! you have the power to stop this insanity, but you have to want to stop it. I fear that the American people are too lazy to act and the nuke people will get their way.

Are They Serious?

I ask the question of the GOP candidates. So, are they serious about being the leader of the country? IMO, they are not! Or they just do not have a workable plan and they will play it by ear if they are elected.

I will bet you would like to know why I say that?

Alrighty then, what is their plan, any plan for the economy? What is there plan on any of the major issues, for that matter? If you spend enough time analyzing their stands you would find there are no actually stands just a endless stream of bovine fecal matter. They have no agenda, other than to be elected by brain dead conservatives.

The last Repub debate, seldom did any of them talk about Iraq or spending or Katrina cleanup; they did however talk volumes on Clinton. They spent a bunch of their time attacking her stands and avoided anything that would remotely sound like a plan on their part.

IMO, they are trying to unite a fractured party, the GOP, and could care less about the real issues that face normal Americans daily. If anyone votes for a person who has NO real plan, then I question your sanity. Because only a brain dead, in-bred lump of moronic sh*t could find anything likable in the GOP!

The Iowa Caucus

This is my take on the importance of the Iowa Caucus. Polls! Polls! Polls! There is you answer. For instance, let say Huckabee wins Iowa--the media will immediately make him one of the front runners and that will spill over to the rest of the process. He will remain a front runner even if he does not another primary or caucus for a month.

Basically, the media will tell the people who to vote for in their process. The media makes or breaks the ones they want to. Paul gets lots of web play but he is still pretty much ignored by the media. The same with Kucinich and Biden. The media has zeroed in on who they want to be the nominees and they will play that for all it is worth.

Iowa has 1% of the population of the USA, but yet the day after their caucus, they will be saying who the leaders are. One of the country's most conservative and white states and the media is gonna let them dictate.

If American mental midgets would get off their lame ass and do their decsions, the country would be a better place. Laziness is no excuse for letting someone decide your candidate for you. YOU people are truly sheep.

Anger is slipping into my diatribe, I will close with that said!

An Arms Race

Yesterday, Sec. Gates said in a news conference that if Iran was allowed to get nukes it would start an arms race in the region. I listened and I listened and I thought what a complete idiotic statement. Why?

By all accounts, whether accurate or the normal Washington lies, Iran is supplying arms to Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and others. To counter that the US is selling weapon systems to Saudi, Jordan, Egypt and others. Thinking........thinking.........But that is not an arms race? What constitutes an arms race?

From a purely capitalist perspective, why would all that be bad? I mean some of the US biggest corporations are dealing in death, so why would they NOT want an arms race--profits would climb and after all, that is the point of an arms race--more PROFIT.

American people listen to this sh*t and say that we cannot allow a new Middle East arms race--WAKE IT UP! It has been going on since we invaded and occupied Iraq. Russia is getting involved, China will get involved, hell they may already be involved--and if so, where is this NOT an arms race?

I realize that most Americans could care less; they are more worried about which gas guzzling SUV to but next time, but I suggest that they wake up and they may not lose anyone in their family to the rages of war. Because of their non-caring attitude, the US is closer to an all out war than anytime since WWII.

Never mind--when you teach a pig to dance, you waste your time and piss off the pig!

The Surge Mentality

We went into Iraq for....(you choose whichever excuse you prefer)...to get al-Qaeda and it has been reported that they are on the run, so that would mean that we won, right? Oh hell no, it was never about winning, but that is another post later.

We formed alliances with some of the Sunni tribes in the fight for Anbar province. It was fortuitous for the US, but the tribes were wanting to rid themselves of AQ and the US was just a necessary tolerance. The idea is being expanded to areas around Baghdad with the hopes it will have a similar outcome. (Sorry I am smiling).

Shi'a power brokers in the South are feeling threatened. They are afraid the US is building more militias, in a country that is over run with them. The there is the Kurds, they are concerned that the US is build a group that will threaten their control of the North. And possibly turn their anger towards the Kurds. And then there is the concern by lots of people that AQ was going to infiltrate these groups and resurface stronger than ever.

The US is doing nothing more than creating more militias that will be at each others throats soon. Basra has Shi'a on Shi'a violence, the Sunni tribes are suspicious of each other and that will degrade into Sunni on Sunni violence. If that goes well they will turn on the opposition or the Kurds. Violence is gonna be a reality not a fantasy.

The US is accomplishing one thing, they will turn Iraq into another Afghanistan. We are creating warlords and such. Each one will be controlling a little piece of Iraq. And we have seen just how stable Afghanistan has been in the past. Iraq has something to look forward to in the future.

Nothing the US can do to change the inevitability of the violence to come, they can however pat themselves on the back to bring about this change and the violence that is to come.

Body Counts

Have you noticed that in the news the US is now reporting American deaths in Iraq as combat and non-combat. Why? Dead is dead! What purpose does this serve? It could be a way to show that combat is down in Iraq and that the troops can start coming home. In other words, use it as an excuse to a final pullout of the country.

But my thinking to my way of thinking, if it is a combat zone, which Iraq is, then all deaths are combat related. No matter if it is an IED, or a suicide, the participation in the war has lead to the death.

This sounds like the Bush Administration trying to cook the stats, or in other words put a political spin on them. Could it be that his new Vet plan will not pay as much for a non-combat death as it would for a combat related? This comes out when the Admin comes forth with a new vet plan to help those wounded and killed in war. Is it a coincidence? NO! there are no coincidences in politics. Everything is done for a reason.

Shortly their reason will be clear.

The PKK--Terrorists to the Turks

The Kurdish Workers Party is a terrorist organization, the UN sees them so, the US sees them so, the world sees them so; so if the world is at war with terrorists, why are they allowed to operate in north Iraq? Just wondering.

Why has the US not gone after them in the past? Was there a deal cut years ago at the time of the invasion? Why are they allowed to operate against an ally, at least for now?

Because of the vote to call the death of Armenians in 1915 genocide, the Turks are massed at the Iraqi border waiting for orders to cross. They wait to see if the proposal passes the House. Let us say it passes, and Turkey enters Northern Iraq, what will be the US response? If they are going after a group of terrorists how can the US object? That is the excuse we used to enter Iraq.

This is all so confusing! If the PKK is a terrorists organization, why has the US allowed it to operate in a zone of their influence? Does that mean that the US picks and chooses who is to be held up as a terrorist organization? Is the US being hypocritical?

Questions.....questions....and very few reliable answers. I will be watching this situation, there is more here than meets the eye.

Economics Of War

I recall back in the day when Kerry was running for President he made a faux pas by saying that the poor kids go to war and rich ones go to college. Remember that? I recall the outrage of the Bush admin and handlers that he would say such a thing and used it heavily during the campaign.

But guess what? He was RIGHT! If you cannot see it then maybe you need to get out more. The bonuses for enlistment are going up and up because they are not getting enough recruits. Economic incentives are the only way that they can meet their recruiting goals. Why is that? First, not many want to die, but when you need money for whatever, the military is like an open bank account.

So with that said, one could also say that economics plays a heavy role in the recruitment of prospects. If Kerry was so damn wrong, why do they keep using cash to entice people to their death? Why are the low to middle class schools more targeted than the schools of the wealthy?

By the way, Kerry was RIGHT and you need to wake up to the facts.

A Six Hour UAW Strike

All I can say is WTF?

What did the Union give up? What did the automaker give up?

So far not much is being said about the contract. Only that the Union will once again take on the VEBA from the auto maker. What did they accomplish in 6 hours?

Chrysler has a glut of vehicles that are unsold. About the only harm the strike could have done was to the new "Caravan" which is made in Canada, but depends on parts from the US. Its debut would have been pushed back and would have cost the company money. I would say that this was a prime motivator, if there was one.

The early reports are that it will be similar to the GM contract, which, IMO, was as worthless as the paper they signed. The worker got screwed yet again and the Chrysler worker can look for a similar screwing.

The strike was gonna effect 45,000+ people and yet CNN lead story was that of a school shooting in Ohio. That was a terrible thing but it would be better if it was handled by a local affiliate, since its impact was on a limited area and the strike covered a considerable larger area.

Sorry, I digress! The Union is doing the automakers a favor, all in the name of the worker. It s not working in the interest of the worker it was about money and profit, not about the conditions of the worker.

A Sick Society

For many year I have watched this society, the American one, that is, go from sad to SICK! Many many things have contributed to this but there are a few that have made this society the sad cancer that it is today.

First there was boxing, a noble sport, but it morphed into wrestling, with the blood and the smack talk. And now we have the ultimate fighting championship, the UFC, which combined the science of fighting with the blood and smack talk. With the morphing going on in about 50 years this will all morph into a form of gladiatorial games with all the blood, the fighting, but with weapons added and fighting to the death. Maybe that is the answer to capital punishment, the death penalty. Turn it into an entertainment.

How about reality TV? Now he is a mindless endeavor and something that the American people can grasp. It is simple, it is mind dulling and it is a piece of crap. That alone will make it a success with the American people. Apparently, the big draw for these mindless shows is the fact that somebody will be embarrassed and humiliated. And that is entertainment, at least for the mindless.

Now we come to my fav, eating competitions. Americans have turned the necessity of food consumption into a "sport". Gluttony is a sin, I thought, but then that does not matter when it involves competition, only when you want to dictate morality. That is what I like about Christians, they can choose which sins they need to avoid. Americans are getting fatter, some say. Is it any wonder? When eating like a pig is entertainment, I would say that pretty much sums it up.

The American society needs a good flush and rid itself of the turds. It needs to start over and there is a possibility it could get it right this time.

She has handed over her 3 golf medals and 2 bronze to the Olympic people and her name will be taken out of the book and the medals will be awarded to the also rans. She will also be required to pay back $100,000 in bonuses.

WAIT! WAIT! Pay back $100,000 in bonuses? I thought that the Olympics were for AMATEUR athletes? Did I miss yet another memo? When did we start paying the competitors? was that not an argument of why the Russians won so many medals, was they were really pro athletes?

Are all our Olympic athletes paid? Where does this end?

Drugs And Terror

It seems the Bush admin is finding new ways to spend the taxpayers money. For years the dismal failure that is the War on Drugs has bled cash from the treasury and what has it accomplished? Not much, Batman.

I have been listening to the newest slogan, Drugs fund terrorism. The poppies in Afghanistan are the funds the Taliban use to fund their terror attacks and then there is al Qaeda. First of all, the Taliban are fighting an invasion force just like they did the USSR. Second, al Qaeda gets its funds from countries like Saudi Arabia and others in the region. Then it is not the poppies that funds al Qaeda; it is OIL! You know the stuff that is used to make the gas you waste everyday?

The Taliban is a homegrown resistance that is fighting for their country. OK, they aligned themselves with al Qaeda, but I mean they would have done that with anyone who was fighting against the invasion. They are a strict brutal group, but their concern is the country not the punishing of all "infidels".

Now they are talking about spray the poppy fields with chemicals, as a way to stop the opium production. Any of you people ever hear of Agent orange? I was a chemical used in Vietnam during that war as a defoliant. It killed miles upon miles of vegetation and as an added side effect it caused a cancer like disease if you were exposed to it. Oh yeah, many Americans are and were being treated for their exposure to the chemical.

And now they will try it again. I guess enough time has gone by that few will recall the damage it did to Vietnam. Plus you will be eliminating the income of many Afghanis who have been growing and selling their product for hundreds of years. So to say that it is funding terror is just plain stupid. The farmers do not give a crap what they do with it as long as they buy it. On another hand, what will this chemical do to the environment? They may be effecting more than the poppy fields.

People need to stop condemning the farmers! They are trying to care for their families. Ok let us say, the government pays them to grow, say turnips instead of poppies. and good plan? NO! They will make $250 a year with turnips or they could make $1500 a year with poppies. Which would you grow?

The Bush machine is just trying to put a simple face on a complex issue. It is drugs fault there is terrorism, not the fact that the US policies suck!

We Have Ways Of Making You Talk!

Much has been written and much has been said and reported and......on and on. Gitmo comes to mind. Allegations have been flying for years of outright torture of detainees. All have been denied by the admin and its spokespeople. Congress has even go so far as to pass some legislation on the subject. But so far, no one has been allowed into Gitmo, at least a total access to the prison to confirm or deny the allegations.

Last week, a couple of secret memos surfaced which everyone is denying. It seems these memos to interrogators authorized "hard" questioning to include such techniques as simulated drowning, use of frigid temps, sleep deprivation, head slapping and on and one. Of course, immediately the spin masters hit the road to quell any protest that could be growing. They said, Perino first, that the US does not torture and that it was, "safe, legal, necessary and saved American lives". That sounds more like a confirmation than a denial , IMO. And then the President had his shot at the memos and he basically stayed on page with his explanations, but he did add his little smirk that he is so famous for.

I ask what about physical hardship while interrogating and what part of it is safe and humane? That is an easy question to answer, NOTHING about torture is safe and legal and especially not humane.

Ever here of the address, P.O. Box 1142? It was a POW camp in Virginia during WWII, where high profile Nazis were sent for intel purposes. These guys DID NOT...let me say that again...they DID NOT use physical interrogation, they instead talked with them, played cards with them, listened to their conversations; in other words they were treated with dignity and respect and because of this they found out about the V1 and V2 rockets and no one had to be injured to do it.

Bush has said, "this government does not torture people"! Would that be the same government that convinced the American people of the Iraqi WMDs? Mr. Bush said the interrogation methods had been “fully disclosed to appropriate members of Congress.” And would those be the same ones that are rubber stamping his entire presidency? Please someone give me good answers to these questions.

Nothing about the Bush plan to gather intel is a humane plan. It is just like all his other policies, strong arm, cowboy and too aggressive. When you take a person's humanity then you are no better than the bastards that did the same in the past. In the past I have been a non-supporter of holding the pres and the boyz responsible for stuff that happens in war. But now, if the memos are true and accurate, these pigs should be brought up on charges of violation of human rights. PERIOD!

SCHIP Compromise

Last week the Congress passed the SCHIP and sent it to the Pres and he vetoed it. Now it is kicked back and the Congress will try to override the veto. But wait! The Pres has said that a compromise needs to be found. That was very conciliatory of him, right? NOT! He is playing for time. If they go into negotiations then there will not be a vote to override anytime soon. He is playing his cards close to his chest, for the Congress may not have the votes to override. So Bush is thinking that negotiations for a compromise will give him time to make sure that the Repubs that have been rubber stamping him for 7 years will continue to do so.

After check around the Dems may go for this, if they feel they do not have the votes for the override. If that happens all is lost! The kids that would have health care will be kicked to the curb in the name of a compromise.

Americans Against The War

Americans are losing confidence in the US and its war in Iraq. A recent ABC poll found that Americans by 54% want the troops home and there are similar results for Pres job in Iraq, etc. And then people were asked about Iran and 50% of the people said they would support military action against Iran.

Am I missing something? They disapprove of the war in Iraq but would approve of military action against Iran. I got nothing here. This is just stupid and illustrates just how stupid and uninformed the American people really are.

What would they think any action, militarily toward Iran would produce? A win? Not hardly! Another "quagmire" is the best that could be accomplished. You know kinda like the one in Iraq that they do not approve of in recent polls. I am confused!

I am guessing that the nuke idea has been sold to them and this is where they are coming from. It worked for George I and his Iraq war. He went before Congress and produced "evidence" that Saddam was building nukes. Back in that day, I found it humorous because a poll taken a bout a week before his evidence, showed that the American people would support a war in Iraq to stop nuke development by Saddam. Coincidence? Not in politics! There is no such thing as coincidence. Does the nuke thing, now sound familiar?

Sorry, but I refuse to believe anything these ass clowns say in Washington. I think we are beingduped into supporting an aggressive policy. And yet we smile and go on with our little lives and give these guys all the opportunities to screw over the people. I am sooooo proud of the American people; I'm all chiked up!

Blackwater is having problems in Iraq for an attack and the deaths of at less 11 civilians. The security firm is contracted to guard US officials when they travel about the country of Iraq. They are really good at their jobs.

But why would someone want to sign on for this type of gig? The US military trains these people as special forces, Marines, etc. But why would they want to work for this type of organization? let's see, five times the pay, better and more reliable equipment, not held responsible for anything they may do in Iraq and they still get to play war. A dream job if you are an ex-special forces.

There is a solution to this problem! Draft Blackwater into the Secret Service as bodyguards for dignitaries and see how fast the crap will end. they would then be held responsible for their actions as Americans, as international reps and service people.

The billionaire owner of Blackwater would then be an underpaid public servant. This would end all bullsh*t.

NOTE: Blackwater has a 100% success rate. Not hard to do when you kill everyone close by, then they will not be able to carry out an attack, if indeed that was their intention.

Clinton Looks More Like The "Gal"

A new Washington Post poll shows that Clinton is at 53% approval and Obama is at 20%. All his positioning in the papers and in interviews, etc, is not helping him at all. His positions are not popular. Clinton is looking more and more like the nominee, someone had better challenge her and soon. If not they can go home and play golf.

Yes, it will depend on how the first couple of primaries and caucuses go, but right now she looks unbeatable. Someone needs to get the motor started, time is short and the longer they let her continue to make points in the polls, the harder it will be to catch or pass her.

Clinton is running a great campaign. She is an establishment candidate and she is sounding like a people candidate. A real good sell job by her and her staff. Regardless of her chest thumping about domestic policies, she is still an "old school" politician and as such will have the support of business and political machines. None of which means the people will get anything new when she becomes Pres.

I want to see just how these other "candidates" handle the news of her popularity. If they stay silent she will win. If they attack in the media, she will win. Their only hope is to face her down and attack her policies in an open forum, face to face. If they cannot bring themselves to do so, then I suggest they give Tiger a call and go play 18.

Dems are losing it, they are not stepping up and illustrating that they have what it takes to undo what Bush has done. He and Clinton are doing well raising money, but what good is that if you are not willing to be an individual. This whole thing of not wanting to isolate voters is turning these people into wimps. Clinton will get the nomination unless someone grows some nuts and shows that they are the best alternative.

Obama needs to show some backbone, before it is too late. If Clinton wins Iowa, NH and SC the whole process may be over and then he can go sit it out for another 4 yrs.

The time is now and now would be a good time to take those stupid gloves off and start hitting the broad with all he has. It is not working all this he said she said crap in the papers, face to face and let it fly. Even if he loses he will win! A New Immigration Test

The new test will take effect soon. All immigrants will have to pass this new test to become a citizen. What do you think about this, Professor? Well, I have mixed thoughts on this subject. I can see where the old test was a bit simple and a trivia test and i can also see why you would want a new test to get the new citizens involved in the process. My only question is, was this done as a slap at Hispanics? Or was this done to help cull perspective citizens? Both sides of this have excellent position when debating the situation. Kudoos!

OK, I have thought on this and I see that it could be a good thing. Why? Think about it! If the immigrants have to become more in tune with the political process they could become better at electing real representatives than we Americans. They could be better politically educated. I see that as an excellent thing if it occurs.

Come on, let's be real here. Americans are getting dumber by the generation. Look at this way Americans demand safer cars, they demand sexual predators be whacked, they demand ......they demand. But when it comes to representatives they demand really nothing more than a party affiliation. Where is the intelligence in that?

I taught a class on geography and out of 20 freshman college students 2 could find Afghanistan on a map, 0 could find Vietnam. In Middle school the students think that WWII was the US and Germany against the USSR. Apparently we are more concerned on who prays in school or who does the pledge or ........whatever, that all else is just aggravation to the teachers. If these are indications of "No Child Left Behind", then I say make the immigrants smarter and more politically savvy. Then white people will really have something to bitch about, but guess what? Horrible Human Rights Abuses

I watched the Sunday talk shows, yes, I am a news geek, and heard time and time again from Congressional reps that were the guests, say that the situation in Myanmar was nothing short of horrible human rights abuses.

I though about this for most of Sunday and thought I would reply. The day that the Burmese government cracked down on the protesters 9 people were killed in the streets. Some say that is a low figure but for now, it is the official figure. Then if this is a human rights abuse, what of the 11 Palestinians killed on the same day? Civilians Palestinian deaths have nothing more to do with the situation in the region than being alive and living in the wrong place. why is this not a human rights abuse? Or at least why is not spotlighted as such by Congressional leaders?

Now there is an excellent question? You want a short simple answer? To do? AIPAC! The Israeli lobby in Washington. They control the opinions of a bunch of the so-called reps and senators. You will seldom hear any criticism of Israel by your elected leaders. Why? They get way too much money to buck the hand that feeds their lust for money. So Palestinians continue to die and that is their price for being born Palestinian. Sad that Americans do not check their leaders out. If they did they would puke at the influence weilded by some lobbyists.

What Color Is Revolution?

There is the Green Revolution; the issues of saving the planet from itself. And then there was the Orange revolution--the democracy protests of the Ukraine. And now with all the problems in Myanmar and the protests, pro democracy protests, led by the Buddhist monks; it is being called the Saffron revolution, named for the color of the robes worn by the monks.

So I ask again what color is revolution? Or yet why a color at all? What part of the violence that accompanies these "revolutions" lends it to a color other than red? You know the same color as the blood that is almost always spilled.

Maybe it is make it seem a bit more appealing, if it has one of these shades of color. You know kinda like the switch from jungle to rain forest, it made the jungle more palatable to people. I mean not many people would help save a place like a jungle with all the animal violence and such, but a serene rain forest they will save. People, they are the same thing!

Adding a color to the violence of a revolution is making it more palatable to the people that are listening or reading or whatever they are doing to get any news. I do not want it sugar coated for me. Call it what it is--people killing people in the name of politics. Stop trying to take realism and turn it into some kid's story book. UAW Strike Update

The strike ended yesterday, but what did the Union and its members win? IMO, not too damn much. They will transfer retirement funds to the Union for their control, it will be in control of tens of billion of dollars.

The Union agreed to : employees will not get pay raises but rather lump sum bonuses at year's end. New GM employees will come to work with a big cut in starting pay.

GM agrees to possibly keep jobs in the US.

There is the major points of the deal. Now I ask where in this settlement did the members and employees win? This is why the Unions are failing. They are not working in the interest of the worker, it is always about economics, never about the worker and his needs. The only concession they got from the automaker was a transfer of funds and a promise to "maybe" protect American jobs.

Now the Union will move on to Chrysler and Ford, will the workers and the Union cave on these negotiations? The worker is not being adequately represented in good faith, only what is good, financially for the Union and its staff of cronies. In short, the worker will ALWAYS lose in these negotiations.

UAW And GM

I guess that this has gotten people's attention, but I could be wrong. It is billed as negotiations between the company and the union on retirement and health care mostly. So most people just ignore it as a game played by unions and companies. It is NOT!

I realize that most Americans cannot remember past last night's meal but about 15 years ago Caterpillar had a stand-off with the union and it broke the union. Cat stock went from about $5 a share to about $75 a share. Now there is the real reason for this. GM stock has been at about $35 a share forever, they need to break the union's hold. And, boys and girls, that is what is going on in Michigan.

It is not about jobs, health, retirement; it is about the process of breaking the union and making more profits for the share holders. But ask yourself, where would GM be today without the workers they are trying so hard to screw over? This is an important situation, if the unuion is broken then jobs will leave for sure and the workers will be left on the curb like some well used hooker.

Wake up! this will effect the entire country and especially the workers who by the way, create ALL WEALTH!

Why Do Democrats Look Impotent?

The question has been asked and if you are trying to assess the situation, your head will implode.

Dems came to power with the understanding they had a mandate from the people to end the war. They had the mandate, but not the votes and guess what? Without the votes the mandate was more worthless than my local newspaper. But during the election cycle the Dems were all over the war and promises were passed out like cigars at a birth, but not once did anyone one of them feel that that should stipulate that ending the war would take plenty of votes.

I remember that the Party patted Rahm Emmanuel on the back for his work getting Dems elected to the point that they controlled both Houses. I think it was more that it was inevitable for change and not some genius at work. If this was such a genius how come no one has any idea how to counter the Bush and Repubs on the war position?

So the question is, why are they looking so impotent? No cajones! They are so afraid that if they attack and it fails it will jeopardize the next election. But what about the genius that got them elected last time? NO GENIUS! It was only inevitability that got them elected.

Now ask, what will the next Congress do? What will the next president do? What promises are being made that will not be kept?

OH MY GOD! Marsha Brady had a love affair with Jan Brady. There goes American society down the crapper. Or a more realistic approach would be "Who gives a f*ck!"

Move on! Iranian Pres to address UN and Columbia University. OK, there is a wealth of BS that surrounds this, but why? Well to begin with the media has made goddamn sure that it keeps reporting that Iran is killing Americans, Iran wants Israel destroyed and that the Holocaust never happened. Is that about the total of it?

Now butt brains ask yourself these questions:

Who actually controls al-Quds?

How many wars has Iran actually started?

Does Iran want a war with the US?

Who would benefit from any war with Iran?

OK, weapons are killing Americans, so were weapons from USSR and China in Vietnam, but we still talked with them.

As far as I know Iran has never started a war, it has fought wars but never started them.

Iran would have nothing to gain from a war with the US, so NO, they do not want a war.

Al-Qaeda would be the biggest winner in the war if Iran and US fight. Osama's prediction that the US was out to kill all Muslims would hold some validity across the world if the US invades Iran.

Everything that the American people know of Iran and its president has been orchestrated to achieve the exact response that it producing at this time. I am not saying that the Iranian president is being misrepresented, but more that the desires of the country are. After all he is just the mouth piece of the religious leaders, he does what they tell him to do American attempts to demonize the Iranian president in the eyes of the American people, have helped make him more popular at home.

The Americans people need to demand more diplomacy to tried and lay off the gunfighter mentality, it is moving this country toward a societal implosion.

Professor, the Oracle Of Inkwell, has spoken, so be it.

The Sad Story Of Voting

Voting and the ad campaigns that surround the act are becoming more and more about selling a candidate instead of a candidate working for the country. Madison Avenue is the source of all voter issues and stances. sell just what the people want to hear, not what is most important to them.

People! Stop listening to the media! They too are part of the process that tells you who to vote for, who is the best, who is the leader, etc. They are telling you who THEY want to be the candidates. So you want examples, OK! Clinton, she is a big money candidate and the media is basing her electability by money. With the Dems, Kucinich seems to be offering mthe people sustantial policies, that takes many of their concerns to heart. But the media has deemed him 2nd tier and his message does not get out as it should. IMO, he is still part of the system that needs repair, but at least there arre parts that I can support.

With both parties the top tier candidates are just offering bovine fecal matter, that with a little luck may trickle down to the people, but the major concern is to keep the wealthy, just that wealthy. Hopefully, you realize that trickle down economics, did not trickle down and any other attempt to trickle anything down to the workers will be just as ineffective.

People! People! Stop listening to the media and Madison Ave., research the candidates and choose the person who will best serve the people of this country, not the special interests.

I regret that this appeal to the people will most likely fall on deaf ears, for minds are already made up on who to vote for--How sad!

There Is A New Law For Air Passengers

WHY? A couple of days ago the Congress passed a new law that would make it mandatory to give air passengers water and food on long delays. Also they could deplane after an excessive delay. Thinking....thinking.....Do you find that sad? I mean the airlines must be made to do the right thing. You still do not see the problem? Really?

Let me see, the consumer can be treated anyway they see, at least in the past and now the federal government had to get involved to make them do what is right. I still cannot imagine why no one sees this as the bad thing that I do.

So it is perfectly OK that the airlines, while making profits off the consumer has no obligation to treat them humanely? Jesus Christ! Are you people idiots?

Typical American attitude--accept the crap corporations throw at you. Apparently YOU deserve the shitty treatment! The silence of the lambs--how accurate is that?

BE WELL! Peace and I be out!

Democrats Last Chance

Yesterday's vote on the bill that would set a limit on the time between deployments may have been the last chance for the Democrats to influence the Iraq War strategy. The vote was 56-44 and the bill was defeated because of the lack of a 60 vote majority. All dems voted for the bill and 43 repubs voted against it along with 1 independent and guess who that was.

This may well have been the last opportunity that the Dems will have before the election. And then they will only be able to pray that they can gain a little more party people in the Congress.

The big story is the defeat of the bill. Why does not someone tell the rest of the story, the troops are the ones that will suffer and there is the point that should be attacked by the Dems. These asses miss opportunity after opportunity to gain public support by not highlighting the lack of concern of the Repubs for the troops. Instead they whine and find excuses for their lack of success. CRAP! Admit that the Repubs beat you at the game and find new ways to attack their positions. The Dems will never get anything accomplished as long as they sit around licking their wounds and whining about the other side.

It will be telling if these losers are serious about their positions, if they let this chance slip through their fingers, then they are in this for the game not what is best for the people.

Intellectual Problems

The problem as I see it with the Left movement or really any movement, is the intellectual license that scholars take. By this I mean their incessant bovine fecal matter they pass off as theory. As an example, years ago I was invited to the University of Louisville to present my paper on non-violence to a collection of Marxist scholars. I sat through numerous other papers and listened to these people try to impress each other with their command of the English language. I was a pathetic display of bullsh*t. Their so-called findings were at best extremely unclear. These people called themselves Marxists, but all I could get from their rants was only a lame attempt to dazzle the audience. I heard NOTHING that could be used as a guideline to a successful transition to Marxism.

When I got my turn I pretty much let them have it. I pointed first in my paper that the theory of non-violence was a pipe dream at best, there was a bunch of disagreement, but I prevailed. And then I got to the intellectual thing. I basically told them that they were delusional, that it anything they said could be used to further Marxist ideology. I closed with my standard, if Marxism is every gonna work it will take the working class to make it happen and these people are only talking to each other and trying to impress each other, that they were nothing more than pompous asses. Most were extremely insulted! One guy from France applauded me and smiled. I left the conference feeling at least a small victory had been won.

To this day, I still have no use for people in the movement that chose words and speech that confuses and intimidates the people. The only way to get the Marxist agenda across to the worker is by talking to him directly and not to try and impress or intimidate him with intellectual bullsh*t.

I have spoken and I wil make it so.

Observation

The American Society is sick and perverted! The people have made it so. Just watch the news and tell me there is not a wealth of perversion in this country. Is there an answer? you bet your ass there is! The PEOPLE! But it would require them to become involved and they are just too f*cking lazy or busy for that. They will whine and bitch and rant, but will still do NOTHING to change the society.

So basically I am saying either put up or shut up! You want these to change then get off your dead ass, drop the remote and get involved!

A Critique Of Marxism

I found this while surfing and I liked it and wanted to pass it on.

by Karl Korsch

1. It no longer makes sense to ask to what extent the teaching of Marx and Engels is, today, theoretically acceptable and practically applicable.

2. Today, all attempts to re-establish the Marxist doctrine as a whole in its original function as a theory of the working classes social revolution are reactionary utopias.

3. Though basically ambiguous, there are, however, important aspects of Marxian teaching which in their changing function and applying to different locations have until today retained their effectiveness. Also, the impetus generated by the praxis of the old Marxist labor movement has been presently incorporated into the practical struggles of peoples -and classes.

4. The first step in re-establishing a revolutionary theory and practice consists in breaking with that Marxism which claims to monopolize revolutionary initiative as well as theoretical and practical direction.

5. Marx is today only one among the numerous precursors, founders and developers of the socialist movement of the working class. No less important are the so-called Utopian Socialists from Thomas More to the present. No less important are the great rivals of Marx, such as Blanqui, and his sworn enemies, such as Proudhon and Bakunin. No less important, in the final result, are the more recent developments such as German revisionism, French syndicalism, and Russian Bolshevism.

6. The following points are particularly critical for Marxism: (a) its dependence on the underdeveloped economic and political conditions in Germany and all the other countries of central and eastern Europe where it was to have political relevance; (b) its unconditional adherence to the political forms of the bourgeois revolution; (c) the unconditional acceptance of the advanced economic conditions of England as a model for the future development of all countries and as objective preconditions for the transition to socialism; to which one should add; (d) the consequences of its repeated desperate and contradictory attempts to break out of these conditions.

7. The results of these conditions are: (a) the overestimation of the state as the decisive instrument of social revolution; (b) the mystical identification of the development of the capitalist economy with the social revolution of the working class; (c) the subsequent ambiguous development of this first form of the Marxian theory of revolution by the artificial grafting onto it of a theory of the communist revolution in two phases; this theory, directed on the one hand against Blanqui, and on the other against Bakunin, whisks away from the present movement the real emancipation of the working class and puts it back into the indefinite future.

8. This is the point for insertion of the Leninist or Bolshevik development; and it is in this new form that Marxism has been transferred to Russia and Asia. Thereby Marxism has been changed; from a revolutionary theory it has become an ideology. This ideology could be and has been used for a variety of different goals.

9. It is from this viewpoint that one comes to judge in a critical spirit the two Russian revolutions of 1917 and 1928, and it is from this viewpoint that one must determine the functions fulfilled by Marxism today in Asia and on a world scale.

10. The control of the workers over the production of their own lives win not come from their occupying the positions, on the international and world markets, abandoned by the self-destroying and so-called free competition of the monopolistic owners of the means of production. This control can only result from a planned intervention by all the classes today excluded from it into a production which today is already tending in every way to be regulated in a monopolistic and planned fashion.

A Reflection

For years I have been a Left activist and in that time I have watched just about every Left leaning organization self-destruct. From outside antagonisms and internal bullsh*t to just stupid positions. I was very active in the 70's, 80's and early 90's, but I saw it as a useless endeavor because no one seemed to be serious about change. well, change within the organization, but nothing about society as a whole. I tried this party, this organization, so on......and each time it came down to some juvenile crap about who did what to whom and he said, she said, I had no time for such petty bullsh*t. So I decide to bow out of the Left's trek for a better society. I was in the IWW and my attempts to unionize a company cost 14 people their jobs. That also was devastating to me and was another reason I wanted to take some time out.

After of years of trying to avoid anything political, I could not stand it any more and returned to the struggle. I joined a small Leftist organization with the hopes and dreams that they were serious about working for change, after about a year and half, the crap started with the organization. This group wants power, this group has power and they butt heads on this way of doing something or that way of talking or........IT IS BULLSHIT!

I am still part of this organization and they are trying to get the sh*t under control. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and will wait and see what is actually accomplished before I make my decsion to move on or not. To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement.

I was hoping that the Left had learned its lesson in the last hundred years of the same petty bullsh*t; I was WRONG! The "real" Left will NEVER be a force in American society or politics. How can they convince the people that they have a better way when they cannot agree on what word to use. They are all SILLY and PATHETIC! There are times when I am embarrassed at being part of the juvenile bullsh*t.

Will there ever be a time when the Left has its act together so that the peoplke can have a stable alternative to the crappy life capitalism has given them? Not as long as personalities dominate!

So it is written, so it is!

Blue Collar Intellectual

A title that was given to me by the National Secretary of the Socialist Party-USA, after I was invited to give a paper to the Marxist Scholars Conference in Louisville back in the late 80's. The paper was titled, "the Shortcomings in The Theory Of Nonviolence".

That title along with the title of agitator were I must coveted titles. I was proud of the titles and still am, but they are not much help when trying to educate the people. Most times I am perceived as a contrarian, someone who just wants to be negative. OK, but what is there to be positive about? My concerns are always for the majority of the people; I could care less about individual bullshit. If a society cannot concern itself with the betterment of the people as a whole, then that society needs to be replace and replaced as quickly as possible.

What Must I do?

I spend a lot of time writing. Trying to educate the people on what is said and what is done, neither are usually the same thing. I spend time on forums that have little exchange just a bunch of mouthy brats that always wanted someone to listen to them. Most are products of the "No Child Left Behind" program----that means they are dumber than dirt!

I started blogs and invite people but few show up--HELL I would even like an argument or two--I spend so much time analyzing and the morons want to talk about bullshit! It gets frustrating trying to help people understand the political system and trying to help them make an educated choice in the elections. They do not want help! they have made up their minds months before and they stick with their choice even if he is an idiot! Leads me to believe that the country is getting more stupid with every generation. Sad to think that!

I will continue, but I will be more sarcastic!

Peace--Out!
