The US spends all its time demanding that others adopt democracy. well, they did in Palestine and the US was not happy with the outcome and refused to acknowledge the will of the Palestinian people. Not too GD democratic! Then there was Iraq, the US was in a hurry for them to hold elections; and how did that debacle work out? Voting does not a democracy make. Now it is Pakistan, will the US stay out of the process or will they demand that elections go forward on 8 Jan 08? That demand may bite them in the ass. Will they push Musharaff to go forward with the elections no matter the consequences? Good questions. time will show just how the US will be involved. And now, it is Kenya. The elections were corrupted and the UN and US have declined to recognize the outcome. Violence has ensued and a civil war is quite possible.
My point is, that one size does not fit all. elections do not make a democracy; it is the people that make the democracy and they should be the sole participant. If the US wants to promote democracy, then stay the hell of of others business, let the people decide for themselves.

The Kurds are becoming a liability to the US. Turkey wants them dead, Iran is not too thrilled with their existence. And the US is caught between Iraq and a hard place.

Bhutto's Death Was State Terrorism
So says Sharif, the new opposition leader.
It’s state terrorism, says Nawaz RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday that the tragic death of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairwoman Benazir Bhutto was a result of state terrorism, according to Daily Times staff reporter Aamir Yasin. Addressing PPP workers at Rawalpindi General Hospital (RGH), where Bhutto succumbed to hre injuries, Nawaz said Benazir’s death would be avenged not only by the PPP workers but also by the nation. “The nation will take revenge of Benazir’s killing,” he said. “Musharraf government is incapable of controlling the situation and people are facing the result of his policies,” NNI quoted Nawaz as saying.

Iraq Is Looking UP
Only if you are a mindless drone and accept the crap they want you to hear. OK, a new poll says that Americans think that the US is making progress in Iraq, by 54%. Good right? well. what about the Iraqis, after all that is what we were told was one of the reasons for the invasion?
The Iraqis DO NOT want us there. The Iraqis DO NOT want permenant bases in their country. They want our troops to do their work for them and restore security so the politicians can continue their hold on power.
How about a unified Iraq? This, my friends is the biggest pipedream. That is what the US wants, not necessarily what the Iraqis want. The only unifying thing in Iraq is the hatred of the US, not necessarily the troops, but the governmental bullsh*t coming from Washington. So if you are looking for unity in Iraq--look to the hatred held by Iraqis--that is about the only unifying concept at this point in their history.

A Teddy Bear Named Muhammed
hopefully you people know all about the situation that was playing out in Sudan, over the English school teacher who crapped in her chili over the name of a teddy bear. Well at first she was sentenced to 40 lashes and 15 days in jail. Then it was 15 days in jail and deportation. Then it was time served and she is home.
OK this played out on the news and brought the "fanatics" to the screen. They kept pushing the fact that it was prinary kids she was dealing with and the population went berserk. It was used to reinforce the ias on the media against Muslims. Yes, they over-reacted on this and looked rather foolish in doing so. But that was the spin they wanted to portray.
my question is, she was sent to a country to teach and she had NO knowledge of the customs, religion or culture? The company that sent her did not go into specifics on the do's and don'ts of a foreign country?
I say that the people involved were f*cking stupid! The school had been there since 1902 and no one knows the culture of thye country. Please! If you are gonna be STUPID, you have got to be strong. STUPID can be fatal!

A Road to Peace
Bush and his minions put together a last ditch effort to achieve some sort of a success somewhere in the world. They were trying desperately to find something that would improve his non-existent legacy as president of the US.
My first thought was that this was an attempt to blow smoke up the world's ass, but after only a very short time there was a break though and Palestine and israel have agreed on the basics of the negotiations. Now I think that there was already a decision before they came to Maryland and they waited to announce it to give Bush a boost on the international stage.
It is good news, but it will come to no fruition because eventually, all concerned players will have to engage Hamas and that is a no-no. Hamas needs to pull their heads out of their butts and realize that they were elected to represent the Palestinian people, not to fire lame ass rockets.
Only once ALL sides come to the table and deal with each other with hinesty and respect there will be NO peace, regardless of what Bush wants. His legacy will suck now and the day he leaves office. Sorry dude! Truth is hard!

Islamofascism
Now here is a term that I would love to see all the definitions for. I would bet that there is as many definitions as there are hairs on my butt. To me it is just a way to spread the irrational fear of Islam. They, meaning conservatives, use this form of explanation to try and equate the expansion of Islam to that of the Nazis. I can see hoe they can equate it, for it has some of the characteristics of Fascism; cult based on murderous violence, exalts death and destruction and is intolerant of opposition. They also have this distorted view of history, where that must avenge some past digression at the hands of inferior outsiders. All this sound familiar?
But reality has to sink in eventually. Islamists have no chance of world domination, no matter what tactics they employ, their chances are zero, let me say that again, THEIR CHANCES ARE ZERO!
The use of the word "Islamofascist" is just away to try and equate it with the irrational fear that was felt after 9/11. Just another use of the now famous "fear card".

All Is Well In The World
A new poll shows that 42% of the American public think all is well in the world. Thinking....thinking.....Now either the public is really naive or they are dumb as a box of rocks! Why?
OK let us begin--Turkey is poised on Iraq Northern border to strike, Pakistan is in turmoil and they have nukes, Iran and US are facing off, Afghanistan is being lost slowly but slowly, AQ is expanded into North Africa, Burma is in chaos, Belgium is being torn apart, Balkans are really close to ignition, and the beat goes on.
Now what part of this is going well? 42% of the American people are IDIOTS! May I suggest that you stop watching "dancing with the stars" and pick up a newspaper, you morons.
I am embarrassed that I am in the same country as this pack of lazy ass wads. Being asleep at the wheel is an American trait. It is frustrating to acknowledge that the people are so damn uninformed, that it is almost comical if it were not so damn sad!
Peace--Out and Be Well!

Whiners Unite!
Washington bureaucrats are whining to beat the band. They are whining because they may be forced to serve in Baghdad because there is not enough volunteers. I say, F*ck 'em! The troops are sent and they may not want to go, but their country has need for them to do their job. Bureaucrats are no different! They are in service to the country and I understand their concern about dying, but the troops have the same concerns and they serve proudly. Stop being a coward! Do what you are paid to do!
Or the other option is resign and go to work at the 7/11. You guys have made lots of money in the past now it is time to put up or shut up! This is a typical bureaucrat--they want to make policy but if they have to enforce it they turn cowardly! F*ck 'em! Put the assholes on a plane today!

An Arms Race
Yesterday, Sec. Gates said in a news conference that if Iran was allowed to get nukes it would start an arms race in the region. I listened and I listened and I thought what a complete idiotic statement. Why?
By all accounts, whether accurate or the normal Washington lies, Iran is supplying arms to Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and others. To counter that the US is selling weapon systems to Saudi, Jordan, Egypt and others. Thinking........thinking.........But that is not an arms race? What constitutes an arms race?
From a purely capitalist perspective, why would all that be bad? I mean some of the US biggest corporations are dealing in death, so why would they NOT want an arms race--profits would climb and after all, that is the point of an arms race--more PROFIT.
American people listen to this sh*t and say that we cannot allow a new Middle East arms race--WAKE IT UP! It has been going on since we invaded and occupied Iraq. Russia is getting involved, China will get involved, hell they may already be involved--and if so, where is this NOT an arms race?
I realize that most Americans could care less; they are more worried about which gas guzzling SUV to but next time, but I suggest that they wake up and they may not lose anyone in their family to the rages of war. Because of their non-caring attitude, the US is closer to an all out war than anytime since WWII.
Never mind--when you teach a pig to dance, you waste your time and piss off the pig!

The PKK--Terrorists to the Turks
The Kurdish Workers Party is a terrorist organization, the UN sees them so, the US sees them so, the world sees them so; so if the world is at war with terrorists, why are they allowed to operate in north Iraq? Just wondering.
Why has the US not gone after them in the past? Was there a deal cut years ago at the time of the invasion? Why are they allowed to operate against an ally, at least for now?
Because of the vote to call the death of Armenians in 1915 genocide, the Turks are massed at the Iraqi border waiting for orders to cross. They wait to see if the proposal passes the House. Let us say it passes, and Turkey enters Northern Iraq, what will be the US response? If they are going after a group of terrorists how can the US object? That is the excuse we used to enter Iraq.
This is all so confusing! If the PKK is a terrorists organization, why has the US allowed it to operate in a zone of their influence? Does that mean that the US picks and chooses who is to be held up as a terrorist organization? Is the US being hypocritical?
Questions.....questions....and very few reliable answers. I will be watching this situation, there is more here than meets the eye.

Americans Against The War
Americans are losing confidence in the US and its war in Iraq. A recent ABC poll found that Americans by 54% want the troops home and there are similar results for Pres job in Iraq, etc. And then people were asked about Iran and 50% of the people said they would support military action against Iran.
Am I missing something? They disapprove of the war in Iraq but would approve of military action against Iran. I got nothing here. This is just stupid and illustrates just how stupid and uninformed the American people really are.
What would they think any action, militarily toward Iran would produce? A win? Not hardly! Another "quagmire" is the best that could be accomplished. You know kinda like the one in Iraq that they do not approve of in recent polls. I am confused!
I am guessing that the nuke idea has been sold to them and this is where they are coming from. It worked for George I and his Iraq war. He went before Congress and produced "evidence" that Saddam was building nukes. Back in that day, I found it humorous because a poll taken a bout a week before his evidence, showed that the American people would support a war in Iraq to stop nuke development by Saddam. Coincidence? Not in politics! There is no such thing as coincidence. Does the nuke thing, now sound familiar?
Sorry, but I refuse to believe anything these ass clowns say in Washington. I think we are beingduped into supporting an aggressive policy. And yet we smile and go on with our little lives and give these guys all the opportunities to screw over the people. I am sooooo proud of the American people; I'm all chiked up!

OH Blackwater!
Catfish are jumping......Oh Blackwater--geez sorry Doobie Bros come to mind.
Blackwater is having problems in Iraq for an attack and the deaths of at less 11 civilians. The security firm is contracted to guard US officials when they travel about the country of Iraq. They are really good at their jobs.
But why would someone want to sign on for this type of gig? The US military trains these people as special forces, Marines, etc. But why would they want to work for this type of organization? let's see, five times the pay, better and more reliable equipment, not held responsible for anything they may do in Iraq and they still get to play war. A dream job if you are an ex-special forces.
There is a solution to this problem! Draft Blackwater into the Secret Service as bodyguards for dignitaries and see how fast the crap will end. they would then be held responsible for their actions as Americans, as international reps and service people.
The billionaire owner of Blackwater would then be an underpaid public servant. This would end all bullsh*t.
NOTE: Blackwater has a 100% success rate. Not hard to do when you kill everyone close by, then they will not be able to carry out an attack, if indeed that was their intention.
