Let us speak of the Port issue. This whole issue was asnowjob. Why? Let see--The veep shoots a man, the war is going like shit, the prez is dragging his feet on Katrina; so the American people are fed up with the crap. Then the annoucement about the ports and the American people jump on it! They let the reps know they were not happy and then the deal was dropped (or was it?).
The American people fell for it--hook line and sinker--they are impressed with themselves for making a stand and the reps listened--democracy at work.
